Our AGEA partner Mount Kenya University is hosting the first conference on entrepreneurial universities in Africa. Mount Kenya University’s Mwai Kibaki Convention Centre will host the international conference, bringing together ten (10) German and Kenyan universities. The blended conference, which will attract both in-presence and virtual participants, will be held on 7th October 2021 at Mount Kenya University main campus, Thika.
The conference is jointly organized by Collaboration for Entrepreneurial Universities (CEPU) and Developing Entrepreneurial Universities in Kenya (DePUK) with a theme: “Entrepreneurial Universities in Kenya” and funded by DAAD and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. It will provide a platform through which CEPU and DEPUK projects will disseminate their findings on possible toolkits to creating entrepreneurial universities in Africa and demystifying the concept of entrepreneurial university in a dynamic world.
The Keynote speaker shall be Dr. Kamal Bhattacharya (Professor & Pro-rector Research & Transfer at IU International University of Applied Sciences, Germany, Chief Scientist & co-founder at Futurescore and Co-Founder & Education Advisor at Advancity).
Participants will come from Hochschule Bonn Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, Leuphana Universitat Luneburg, Leipzig University, and Hochschule Wismar, in Germany; and Mount Kenya University, Kenyatta University, Karatina University, and Chuka University, in Kenya.
